Link-Capture™ Linux v12.12.2.1 – Nov 2024

The Napatech Link-Capture 12.12.2 is a beta release in the 12.12 series.

Compared to previous beta release this release includes a newer version of imgctrl and thereby solves the issue with loading the 9583 FPGA image

The Napatech Link-Capture 12.12.01 is a beta release in the 12.12 series that introduces the following features:

  • NT400D11:
    • Support for 2x100G with Capture Flow management feature set including deduplication (new FPGA image: 200-9583-67-04)
  • NT200A02:
    • Support for 2x100G with Capture Flow management feature set (updated FPGA image: 200-9536-67-04)
  • Support ERSPAN packets in frame decoder
  • Support for new NTPL command “delete=flows”
  • New Flow Stream API
  • Bugfix: GTP frame decoder corrected
  • Significant improvements in flow lookup performance

Please refer to the “DN-1403 Link-Capture™ Software 12.12, Migration Guide” for documentation of to migrate to the new API

The release also contains new features that are available but not fully tested:

  • Relearn (aka action update)
  • Probe, i.e. request an INFO-record with statistics
  • Option to suppress INFO-records during unlearn

Link-Capture™ Linux v12.11.22.3 – Sep 2024

This release is a maintenance release in the 12.11 series which fixes some minor issues related to the use of the ntplugin.

Please note that the ntplugin is not included in this release.

Link-Capture™ Windows v12.11.25.1 – Nov 2024

This release is a maintenance release in the 12.11 series which fixes issues related to check sum on NT50B01, pktgen replay, and linking libs.

We recommend to use the latest version of these images due to updates in previous release

  • NT400D11:
    • Support for 2x100G with Capture Test & Measurement feature set (updated FPGA image: 9567-63-28)
    • Support for 2x40G with Capture Test & Measurement feature set (new FPGA image: 9570-63-28)
    • Support for 8×10/25G with Capture Test & Measurement feature set (new FPGA image: 9571-63-28)
    • Support for PPS
  • NT50B01:
    • FPGA image: 9541-57-15
    • FPGA image: 9561-57-15

Please refer to the documentation and release notes for details on the new features, bug fixes and which SmartNIC products the new features apply to.

This release resolves these Support issue compared to the 12.11.20:
(12.11.25) Support-ID 45584: Check sum using NT50B01.
(12.11.25) Support-ID 45426: Replaying PCAP file with pktgen.
(12.11.25) Support-ID 45614: Link error when linking libs.
